After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Avnish Goyal developed a real estate portfolio with his family before founding Hallmark Luxury Care Homes in 1997 with a single belief: that care could be extraordinary. Nearly three decades later, that belief has built one of Britain’s most respected care organisations.

He chaired Care England — the UK’s largest care representative body — for nine years,co-founded The Care Workers Charity which has donated over £6m to over 13,000 care workers in need to date. He founded the Goyal Foundation in 2010. In 2020 he and his wife Anita Goyal MBE founded Inner Spark, a personal development programme to ignite the spark of opportunity in young people in the UK with a target of 1m by the end of the decade that is a third of the way. With plans now to go international there is a new target of 100 million children by 2035.

His interests extend beyond care: longevity, healthy ageing, and the question of how environment, our mindset and beliefs as well as purpose shape a life well lived.
